I am about to receive my 08 Tacoma from the dealer in about a week and was just wondering what mods everyone would recommend as a MUST do kinda mod.

It seems like the removal of the secondary air filter is a must do mod, but are their any others that everyone seems to be doing and liking?

I was curious about the True Flow filters as well. All the threads on these seem a little old and was wondering if anyone had an update on if they liked these or werent worth the money.

Im surely not looking to my my truck louder, but would like to increase my mpg any way I can.

    Thanks for the help

    Welcome to TacomaWorld.

Secondary filter removal is a must. Bang for the buck in my opinion would be a high flow drop in air filter. I like the aFe Dry Pro S.

It all depends on what you want. I don't go offroad, so I'm not worried about lifts or off road tires.

You'll want a bed mat almost immediately. Look at TRDparts4u.com for some decent prices. You may like the hood struts, seat covers, floor mats, or any of the mods listed in the free/cheap mod thread.

I love my URD intake and MAF calibrator, but it is not a must do mod.

Im not looking to do any off road stuff...I have already bought a bedmat and some accent pieces...

Looking for more air filter mod or suggestions, cabin filter mods, mpg increase mods, etc...

Thanks for those who have already replied.

I forgot to mention getting a tonneau cover.

    getting there....
welcome from rock hill,sc!! i work in charlotte.

as for must do mods.....removing the sec. air filter is probably first on the list, then a drop in high flow air filter/or intake itself. then i would say switching oil over to synthetic would be a big help.......along with maybe adding a tonneau cover.
