I have a 2012 DCSB with TRD exhaust. It seems to be much louder around the drivers seat in the cab . Any suggestions on how to quiet it a bit without changing the system. Love the sound from the outside.

I'm not sure what to tell you. It doesn't bother me on an access cab but my ears are tolerant to different frequencies as i'm sure yours are too. You wouldn't want to add on anything go the exhaust that would restrict flow because the whole point of an after market catback is to open up the flow. There are a few times (pretty rarely) when the highway drone is annoying enough (usually when pulling the mountains) that if you want to open the window to drown it out with wind noise or using the radio. Worst comes to worst, you can always trade someone who has a stock exhaust for your TRD. Just make sure you get new toyota exhaust gaskets. That may be another thing, on the TRD catback that i've been around, its thrown two gaskets where it bolts on right below the passenger seat. Two gaskets in 22,000 miles. Maybe you should check to see if yours has a leak, usually you will simply hear it blowing air around the flange. Hope i've helped, but what do i know, i'm still a kid.

I think some heat proof sound deaden material under the truck might help, like this or other brands that are similar http://www.hushmat.com

You know for sure that there's no exhaust leak right where the catback meets the y pipe? I don't have it, but in my experience the TRD is usually pretty tame in the cab.

Put your stock exhaust back on.

I'm gonna say check for an exhaust leak...the TRD is pretty tame...
