hellas wont work please help me

Ok after messing with my hellas for way too long they still wont turn on..im trying to set it up so that i dont have it wired to high or low beam just so it turns on and off with the switch..does that turquoise wire they give you HAVE to be used for them to work? i have them connected right to my battery and switch but left the last prong on the switch empty cuz thats where the turquiose wire goes..is that the problem?

 

My hella relay has black, yellow, red, and blue wires.

Black- to the lights
Blue- ground
Red- battery
Blue-switch

You also need a wire running from the switch to a power source (depending on how you want your lights to work, battery to be able to turn them on anytime, ACC for them to only work when the key is on, etc.) and if you want your switch illuminated a wire from the switch to a ground.

 

ok what power source did you use

 

Mine are wired directly to my battery so that I can turn them on without the key being on. If you wire them like that you'll have to make sure they aren't on when you park your truck, because they won't turn off with the key.

 

So what did u connect to ur battery the red and the turquoise?

 

Where does the diagram say to connect the turquoise? If it goes from the switch to either hi or low beam then yes, it should go to the battery.

 

Yea it says to hi or low beam so I connect that from the switch directly to the battery and the red from the relay to the battery and it should work?

If you haven't figured it out, let me know. I recently wired my Hellas to where I can turn them on while the key is on the "On/Accssories" position and when the truck is on of course. And if the truck is off, it won't/turn on even when you flip the switch.
