 Sorry I didn't take any and now it is covered with pollen. I'm going to wax it again soon though, maybe over Memorial weekend. My bf saw how nice mine looks, so he wants to clay his now too .

I bought the Mothers clay bar kit and went at it yesterday......

Holly mother of pearl Batman........

What a difference....... and it's so easy. Only took me about 1 hour.

This is definately on my "To Do" list for the furture.

My wife's 2004 4Runner is next on the hit list. Her paint feels like sandpaper.

how many times can you re-use the bar before it scratches your paint? all the contaminants are "stuck" in the bar

The package instructions for the "Mothers" brand says each bar can be used on 2 vehicles, but it also depends on how bad the paint it.

I have used mine maybe a half dozen times, but it is on the same vehicle. Does that count as only half its useable life?

I use Zaino's clay bar on my RAV4. I pulled off a chunk of the bar so I had fresh clay and just threw it away after I was done. That's what the guy at Zaino had recommended. I'm waiting on a new one so I can do the new Tacoma. It's not that gritty actually but I can feel it. The RAV was grittier when we brought it home.

First off i would stay away from the mothers clay bar "system". Not the best bang for the buck. Personally i would reccomend the clay magic clay and meguairs last touch. Depending on the color and how bad the paint is would determine what strenght of clay i would use. On darker colors i would reccomend the fine and on lighter colors the medium. On lighter colors that are really bad, i would use the hard.
