I just got a longbed with 17 inch rims and plan to level it with bilstein 5100s set at 1.75. I was wonder how big I can go with tires (plan to get BF Goodrich All Terrains). I've heard I can throw 275 70r17's on. But I've also heard of some rubbing especially with the BFG all terrains. I eventually plan to get a 1.5" add-a-leaf pack and then extend the 5100's to 2" or 3" in which I think I'll be fine with 275's. For now I'm wanting to level it and see how I like it before I spend the money to lift the rear.
    Thanks.

I wouldn't go higher than 275. Don't be surprised if you have to trim some plastic though. Welcome to TW from lower Alabama. Also I'm sure someone will say something, use the search button, it can help you.

Thanks for the quick replies. Mine are the stock 17s. I think I'm going to see if my local tire shop will do a test mount and go from there.
How would I go about getting my fender wells trimmed if there is rubbing?
