Hey All. First time poster, long time creeper. Really appreciate all of the valuable information on this website. Came in really handy for purchasing a vehicle, and is coming in very handy for modifying my vehicle. I purchased a 2007 white DC 6 foot box v6. Thanks for all the help!

Now to my question: I managed to find a really killer deal on KIJIJI. I got a used OME suspension set up for about $200. They are in pretty good shape and have 30,000k on them. It came with an ICON progressive add a leaf and a 885 springs. The kit came with the extra .5 inch spacer, but the previous owner did not use it.

The coilovers are already packed. My question is, if I want to use the spacer, do I have to unpack the coilover, or does the spacer just sit on top of the coilover. If I have to go through the trouble of getting a spring compressor, I am probably just going to stick with the 2.5 inches. But if the spacer just sits on top, then I will use it. Thanks in advance.

I searched for the answer to this question, but could not find the answer. Perhaps I did not know how to word it.

It just sits on top but it should have come with longer studs, and to install those you'll have to compress and remove the coil and access the bottom of the top plate.
