OEM Glass Replacement - necessary?

    Well I think Raleigh must mean for "Land of the Dumptruck" in some ancient language. Which, BTW, all have "STAY BACK 100 FEET NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WINDSHIELDS" stenciled on their tailgates. So no subsidized protection in NC. :violent:

    If there's little/no cost difference I'd go OEM.

    I have USAA & last year they sent Safelite for free to try & fix a spider crack (courtesy of said dumptuck) in my other car. My guess is I'll be replacing that sooner or later. With USAA I don't think the deductible applies to glass (or there is a different/lower deductible) and they don't count it against you as a "claim" IIRC.
