After replacing gas cap with new OEM cap, codes came back. Ordered from Amazon for $25 replacement VSV and installed. Identical match to the old VSV and did not have to buy a $400 charcoal canister- codes cleared. Tested old valve and it was stuck closed. Dorman 911-601 Toyota Vacuum Switching Valve

This is right on top of the canister, right?

Nice find if it stays off. I got a VSV from the junkyard for around $40 used.

Correct. Mine is 4Wd and once I lowered the spare it allowed me the space to work without removing the canister, which is located above the gas tank.

Perfect. I'm replacing mine this weekend. Glad toyota just gave me a new spare tire carrier.
