I just bought a 2013 DCSB 4x4 Trd-Off Road in super white last week. I last had a 2008 reg. cab but this is my first new vehicle that I have bought and I'm super excited about it. I have a list a mile long of things I want to do with it, but can't be spending a ton of money on mods right now because I'll be going off to college this fall. I'm going to black out all of the emblems this weekend and call a local performance shop about a quote for spraying bed liner on the bottom few inches of body panels as the first couple things on my list. So, heres my first question. I want to add an ARB front number and some sort of aftermarket metal rear bumper later on. I also want to add a lift somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 inches. I wouldn't really like to spend the money right now to do them both at the same time but I feel like that would be ideal. From what I understand, the ARB bumper is too heavy for the stock suspension and it would be better to have the suspension set for the right amount of weight, which then would be changed when I added the bumper after. I'm also a little confused about what would be needed for the suspension lift. New coilovers in the front and add-a-leaf in the back? All the different suspension components are something that baffles me some. And if I did some of the work myself would I have warranty issues? Sorry for the wall of text and thank you for any help!

Thanks. I've been going on some pretty difficult trails but nothing that I couldn't get through with the stock suspension and tire size. I don't really think I need to be able to go anywhere that I couldn't get stock, but just be able to worry less when I'm doing it. I also do some faster rocky trails and if there was a way I could smooth them out I'd be all for it.

I'm not experienced in climbing rocky hills at all....but I bet the stock suspension is a rough ride.....if u r planning on add an ARB bumper and doing a lot of suspension flexing on rocky hills I would suggest spare your stock setup and go with OME 886 complete lift kit

OME 886 coils (to support the ARB) and OME struts, then the dakar leaf pack with aal and OME shocks, there's your 3" lift and you're ready to get an ARB and rear plate bumper

I have a friend who has OME's and seams to like them and since they were recommended here that is probably what I will end up going with. Thanks.

    I love my OME setup.

You did notice that the bottom portion of the doors already are lined under the paint didn't you? Or did you just want it black on the lower part?

I want to get the bottom lined partly for looks and partly to protect from paint chips so that I can take those stupid mud flaps off.
