I'm real happy with it. Does exactly what I wanted. Holds my full size spare, holds both my CB and Ham antenna's, Hi Lift is mounted on the front crossbar and keeps the bed clear for cargo. It's not too bad to remove either....take off the tire remove 8 bolts unplug lights and antennas and its a 2 man lift out. It is also hinged so I can rotate it up if the need arises.
It wasnt cheap though. Cross bars were about 180 and the rack I bought used for 400. Though it is a $750 rack new without the crossbars.
Overall I am extremely happy with the look and function and I get compliments all the time on it.

I have one made by anbcustomfab , sits a little higher then cab so I can use my RTT, also dual antenna mounts, space to mount sand tracks and other gear.

I've only used them twice, never for my Tacoma but someone else's truck.
They do show wear from use but OK so far.
I'm not sure if the MT show wear from use also.
They were 1/2 price compared to the MT and there's another set out there similar to MT in different colors saw them at EXPO but can't remember who was making them.

thanks, i'll have to try to track down and look into that other company. i'd heard that the nubs break off of the smittybilts, but i haven't seen that in person.
