    Hey all,

I have a 96 tacoma extended cab that I've owned since new. The paint is looking a little beat up and I was wondering if I should paint it before I try and sell it. I would just have it repainted in the color it is now. Have a few rock dings knocked out and painted.

    Worth it?

    Jeff

If you do it right, you'll never come close to recouping the money spent to paint it in the sale.

If you do decide to get it painted, I would get plenty of time dated photos prior to painting. Buyers will only wonder what you covered up with the new paint job. FWIW:)

x2, I would get really suspicious buying an older vehicle that was freshly painted!
