    so...06 4x2 access manual 2.7

    couple of questions...

developed a vibration, faster i go, the worse it is.

looks like the u joint at the pumpkin needs replaced. i assume a bad u joint can cause a nice vibration?

also, the pumpkin was warm to the touch. is that pretty normal?

    thoughts? comments? questions?

gonna swing by the shop monday and get it professionally checked out.

My 06 v6 has had the same rear u-joint get rusted out and start to get stuck causing a vibration twice now. If you don't fix it quick it will cause the carrier bearing to break and cause more vibration and squeek.

A U-joint can cause some wicked vibes, Ive heard of bad u joints bending driveshafts so be careful riding those things out man.

My carrier bearing needs replaced and you can feel it in the cab at times, Gotta change it. Like its been said bad u-joints can cause the carrier bearing to fail, And just the other way. Bad carrier bearings can cause U-joints to crash.
