Hi all, I just moved up to 285/70/17s and bought aftermarket rims (-5 offset) so I could clear my ucas. Now, I have a 5th 285/70/17 for a spare but can't find a cheap spare wheel that will clear the UCAs with that sized tire on. Any suggestions? Should I bite the bullet and drop my spare to a 265/75/16?

    Thanks

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Having a full size spare is a good thing to have if you wheel your truck. I have mine on a stock steel spare wheel. Yes it will rub the UCA if i put it on the front, but it will get me out of the woods if i need 4wd. I have the same size as you but i have a 285/75/16 as a spare. With 17s i would either get another wheel and buy or make a badass spare carrier, or look around for one 17" stock sport wheel and maybe get a wheel spacer.
