So, the boots on the steering rack are just beginning to show first signs of seal leak. Our power steering fluid is dexron III. If you wanna use stop leak for awhile until getting a new rack, would you go with ............

    or..........

The power steering stop leak says works with all power steering fluids but we have dexron III...........couldn't find much info on this aspect.

I have used the Lucas power steering leak stopper with success.

That's what I got and I did read in one thread where I thought someone said they did but just wanted to double check fluid compatibility since we are technically running atf not pwr steering fluid. Also had read stuff about not mixing the 2 because seals for one won't like the other type of fluid. It isn't actually losing fluid yet so I guess I'll siphon out the resevoir and see if I can get half the bottle of Lucas in and see if it works. Just starting to get the first weeping on the driver's side boot and wanting to maybe nip it in the bud. Not anything bad yet like the one on the 05 had gotten before having rack rebuilt. Not really wanting other people's hands in my bay so it'll come down to lifetime rebuild model and do it myself whenever it gets bad enough. Also already have a urethane rack bushing kit on hand for it.
