    Okay, I now own my first Taco, 95 x-cab, 4x, 2.7, 5spd.
I am new to Toyos and know little of them, other than it seems everyone loves these overpriced trucks, ( I got a SCREAMIN' deal).
I have a few issues and don't know where to start. So, hopefully someone watching can guide me in the right direction.
1.) Gauges do not function, (speedo does)
2.) Fuel leaking on DS frame but NO visual issue, looks like frame is leaking, I know it isn't:D.
3.) how much travel should I have on clutch pedal? Seems high.

    Welcome to TW!

The speedo is gear/cable driven, and the rest of your gauges are electrical. Check your gauges fuse.

Are you 100% fuel leak? If so, I suggest cleaning the frame and area around it and do an in depth inspection. Fuel leaks are not something to play around with at all.

Clutch pedal travel is sometimes dependent on if the clutch is factory, or aftermarket. Mine you have to lift a good bit before it engages, but it HOLDS. My friend, his engages right as it gets off the floor.

It's definitely fuel leaking not coolant. The gauges were just a fuse they all work now.
Here's how the fuel thing goes... I took the truck for a test drive, no fuel issues.
Stopped on way home for grub and came out to a puddle of gas, no joke, easily a gallon on the ground maybe more. $20 puts the gauge right between 1/4 and 1/2 tank, gauge wasn't working before so I have no idea how much gas was in it prior to this.
Drove it home and again, a STEADY stream of fuel. Frame is ONLY THING WET?? Cab is dry, Fuel lines are dry from tank all the way up to filter and up to regulator, Vapor and return lines dry from evap can on fender all the way back to tank. Engine bay is dry ( with the exception of the PS leak)
I almost want to say the frame has sprung a leak, I am no idiot  and the obvious is just not there. I can feel inside the frame and nothing there. (thought aftermarket something) Seriously a major leak and on frame Driver side maybe around 2 foot section

Take some pictures of the area under the truck and post them. Sounds like it could be the fuel filter to me but Bama knows more about this stuff than I do.

I'd dry the area in question, crank the truck up get under it and see if something starts getting wet again. If nothing while running lay under it while someone else cuts it off. If its as much gas as you say it is should be easy to find where its coming from.

That's why the filter is bone dry because all the fuel is on the ground...:p

I don't know about the 1st generation toyotas , but the 2nd gen tacomas are awesomely well worth their price. I used to be a FORD guy in my younger days I may never go back to a ford.
