I just picked up a 2013 4cyl 4x4 access cab Tacoma and I'm super excited to be a part of the Tacoma family. This is the first brand new vehicle i've ever had. I'm a Navy vet and i'm pleased to have finally kicked my 2000 explorer xls to the curb. Anyhow, a couple questions:

1: What's the difficulty rating on installing fog lights on my tacoma? Is there a link available out there with a tutorial? And can I take my fog lights off my explorer xls and install them on my tacoma?

2: I'm confusing myself reading all the threads about tow packages and such. Can anyone explain the difference between a "tow package" and perhaps just a installing a trailer hitch?

That was more than a couple questions... but thank you all in advanced!

As far as I know, the factory tow package is only for the V6 engine. It increases the maximum trailer weight to 6500 pounds. The essential components are engine oil and transmission fluid coolers. Also included are a stronger alternator, larger battery, and 7-pin trailer harness. For your 4-cylinder, Toyota will install the trailer hitch and a 4-pin harness.
