I've already got rid of the seat belt alarm beeping...thank god! But, is there any way to get rid of the little light in the dash without taking out the bulb?

    Thanks!

Unplug the connector that sends it to the dash it's connected to the seat belt under the seat I did it in mine and there's no beeping or light on the dash

That may set an airbag light for an open circuit.

If you're set on driving w/o a seatbelt on you could always find a seatbelt buckle and cut it off the retractor and just buckle it in.

But I still think putting on your seatbelt is the best idea.

My air bag light is not on because there's a open circuit and some states don't require a seat belt over 16 or 18 in some states

You have a 2001. He has a 2009. Different airbag systems. Also note, I said may, not will.

Also, law requirements don't mean you won't die from getting in a car crash with no seat belt on.......

Found another thread with some codes listed. This is the one I was referring to.

Thanks for the info guys...I DO wear a seatbelt it's just the few times I get in my truck while hunting and stuff to drive 30 seconds that it bothers me. I'm in Canada and it is the law to wear a seat belt at all times.

I figured it was something like that. I drive from the mailbox to my house without it on for that short distance. But that's it.
