my buddy has an f150 and we were talking about lifts and tire clearance and he said the f150 forum he belongs to has a "lift to recommended tire heigh chart"
a chart that basically tells you what size tire you can clear (height, and width) with certain lifts without rubbing..
    Ex-
3inch lift recommended nothing bigger then 33x12
6 inch lift recommended nothing bigger than 35x13
    so on and so fourth..
does one of those exist on this forum?
i've tried a search but havent found anything

    rule of thumb:

265/75r16 will fit stock with no issues.
265/75r16 will also be the largest size you can flex without any rubbing whatsoever, on 3" lifts.

Probably differs depending on vehicle.. Too many variables for a universal lift to tire chart. Like wheel well space, stock suspensions (when applying spacer lifts), brands of lifts, types of lifts... combinations of lifts and tires are unique and you just have to find a combination that you like to determine what will fit.

    just my thoughts

I totally agree with the poke out part. I want my taco to be short and stout. Decent 3" lift and as tall and wide a tire I can possibly squeeze in the fender without any fender trimming. Sure wish some all knowing Taco expert would come save my day.

I'm running 33/12.50/18's on Rock Stars on my Tacoma with the 3inch pro comp leveling kit. They do rub some but the low, wide look is sweet!
