Had my new tires installed today. They looked all new and shiny, so I had to knock some of the new off them. Decided to take my daughter and niece out for a little light off-roading.

Today's AO: The Off Road Park south of the Pensacola Dam, between Disney and Langley, Oklahoma.

The tires: Toyo Open Country AT2 in P265/75/16 on stock TRD wheels, with the stock TRD OR suspension.

That looks like a pretty cool little area to get out on.

It's a great place to spend an afternoon...and it's as technical as you want. There's wooded trails, mud pits, rock crawls, water crossings. The area is managed by the Grand River Dam Authority, and they allow people to use the area for off-roading, fishing, camping, etc... I think it's the only officially sanctioned free off-road park in the State of Oklahoma.

I did everything today just in 4Hi. No need to switch to 4Lo, or lock up. I got some looks of disdain from some of the ATV and rock crawlers as I scaled a few hills that they were gunning their engines on. I just smiled and waved.

I don't have any trail armor and had my 8 year old daughter and 7 year old niece with me, and no trail buddy so I didn't want to attempt some of the harder climbs, etc...
