    My best documented mileage was 21.8 mpg doing 80mph using cruise control on the interstate with the A/C on. Inline four 2.7L with an automatic.

    So is 200miles pretty bad fuel milage for a 2.7 with no lift or massive tires to a tank of gas ? Just wondering if I have a bad motor now lol runs smooth other than a little irratic idle,,,did all the maintanence called for and everything

    I just bought the exact same truck as yours (2000, reg cab, 4x4, 2.7, 5spd, 109k mi....it's also green like yours) and got 20mpg on the first tank. No lift and running 31's.

    I'm in Az, my avg (according to Torque App) is 20.2mpgs, mostly city driving but I drive like a granny in town.

    On the freeway my avg is about 18mpg's due to the truck having aero dynamics of a twinkie at higher speeds.

    25.3mpg is my record :D

    95.5 V6 Manual 212k
    Pretty much stock (AKA, not 400lbs worth of aftermarket armor; no lift, etc.)
    Got Redline Oil/Fluid in everything; OEM Oil Filter / Air Filter
    I use Chevron w/Techron 92

    When I drive my truck on the freeway at 70mph, I get right around 20-21mpg
    When I take the scenic route; with a max speed of 45mph, is when I'll get 24-25mpg
    And I don't mean I once saw that # randomly on a scangauge while going down a hill in gale force winds while in neutral;
    This what I'll get on a tank I put 220-something miles on (I usually refill when the needle hits a half-tank)

    My goal is 26mpg... I may have to drive at 40mph with people furiously honking and passing me
    But, I think I can do it

    Some of this Some of that
    I get 20 mpg highway and like 16 around town.. I drive way to spirited though, it's just so hard to resist having fun in my taco. I plan on getting 32's again, combined with my gear ratio my truck would get better highway mileage than with the stock size I got.. When I reset my ecu I think I get like 22 hiway, the tank afte I did that lasted forever

    I mostly get 21-21.5 mpg on my 4.0 with a 20 gal tank. But never put more than 14-15 in. I dont let it get much past 1/4 tank. But my worst was last week 19.1 average. But I drive mostly back roads
