    Hey!
How to take off the grey surrounding that is around the speedo and guages. I tried to get the grey trim off but it's on the pretty tight. Has anyone taken it off before?

I would imagine that it would be glued or somehow have clips behind by the cluster.....i have never seen someone customize this though

You mean the silver? Cause I succesfully removed the dark grey by trying to remove what I though it was a paint stain with break cleaner fluid, and it removed the paint exposing a light grey like the door panels. The silver trim is a separate part that is attached by clips to the dashboard cover. If you remove the paint, it would reveal its natural black plastic color. If you try carburator or break cleaner like me, be careful not to touch the dark grey area.

I think that in pre 12' models theirs was all one piece(I think). Mine is separated. I have plastic panel removal tools and the thinnest one I had, wouldn't fit. I am only assuming that it's clips and not glue. I'm trying to be careful because of that plastic in front of the gauges scratches really easily. I really don't want to take the whole dash apart just for that little bit.

My 2009 have the clips, but they are permanent ( as of clips are melted on the other side). If you remove them, you would have to glue them back or melt the plastic back.
