So I traded a '95 Pickup I recently purchased for a newer 2008 Tacoma. Here's the specs:
SR5 2.7 5 speed with 126K Miles

First thing it needed was new brakes and a alignment:

New Pioneer Stereo got installed today:

Also installed my ScanGauge from my other truck and after babying the gas pedal I got this result:

It settled to around 22.2 MPGs, which is okay with me. Muffler is the next thing on my list.

Well today I got my Aero Muffler on today. all went smooth till I went to drive it, Heard what sounded like a BB in the muffler. So I took it back to the shop and they cut if off again (for free) and they found this is the muffler:

A little piece of slag broke off in the muffler. but after that repair it sounds great. Exhaust vid coming soon. Also took a look at my leaf springs and saw they were just a little worn out. New springs are coming soon.

 

Ordered my an OEM style fog light kit from eBay. Gonna be used at a later date. Here's the fog lights, they're great quality IMO:

Also I bought a FireStick CB Antenna from Rightchannelradios.com and a mounting kit from RockyMounts. Thanks to NetMonkey for his thread that showed me how to do the install, here's the link to his thread: --->CLICK ME<---

The difference from my install and NetMonkey's is that I'm using a quick disconnect adapter.

My CB install went pretty smooth. The hardest part was routing the coax cable through the floor. Poked a hole through my carpet, but thankfully is was underneath the seat and you can't tell anyway. My CB is a

$90 Midland 75-822 40 Channel CB-Way Radio

Midland 75-822. Still need to tune the antenna but it works good for now. Sorry for the dark pics:
Me and my dad fed the wires through the grommet and plugged them straight to the battery:


We hid the wires under the sill plate and led them through the flap under the drivers seat:

The coax we fed through the same whole and pulled it through the grommet underneath the truck. Then we let it follow the frame to the pre-drilled hole in the bed. We believe this is a water drain:

Got a super white grille from a 2011 Sport Model Tacoma a few days ago. Today I painted the emblem superwhite to match:

Got a LED dome light and map lights from Superbrightleds.com
Here's just the dome light:

I'd say at least 10x better than the stock bulbs.

 

Some small updates. I got my A/C fixed finally. A brand new hose and some R-134 and it's blowing ice cold. I was nervous there was more damage that wasn't seen but I got lucky:

I also got a brand new Battery holder to replace the PO's bungee cords:

Right now my current plan is to buy some new bed caps and tailgate cap since the PO drilled so many holes in the old ones:




And my latest mod is I bought some ZXE headlight bulbs and they are way brighter than before. The pics don't do them justice:

Forgot to order a tailgate cap so that'll be ordered and I'm gonna price a sport hood.

 

got a few things done today. First was an oil change, so I picked up some 0W-30 oil and a Toyota filter. Also the Ford dealership put on a Motorcraft filter which is a sin in my book. After we got done me and my dad inspested the underside of my truck and we noticed both leaf springs were broken.

So now I'm definitely getting new ones. Also I replaced my old, faded and drilled bed caps and tailgate cap (sorry for the night pics):
