    Hey all been a while.:)

Finally taking my 09 6spd to the garage for the clutch and a few other issues.

    1. Clutch the usual chatter, squeak when using the pedal and a constant squeak when sitting at an idle (red lights).

    2. Guessing this one is the drive shaft. When cold I get a "clunk" sound. Did some looking and found a TSB for the FJ's. Can't find anything direct for the Tacoma though.

    3. Still have the "smell" from the wet floor I posted a while ago. Floor is dry though.

    4. Passenger door does not open with the key. I thought maybe this was a toyota "feature"

Anyway I called a dealer that my parents use and drove 4 hours to spend some time with mom and dad and see what happens.

Questions- the service "rep" didn't seem thrilled I knew about the clutch issue more than anything.

He says an "inspector" will have to OK any warranty work. Is this common?? Never heard of this from the "big 3".
I also have the remaining warranty and the toyota certified warranty ($50 deductible)
Anything I need to know or say? Will all this be covered under either warranty?

    Nobody interested? :D

Dealer said they (Toyota) will cover everything but the actual clutch, so I'm out for roughly $400.00. No labor as they will have the transmission out anyway.

Passenger door is broken and they will cover this.

Said no drive shaft issue, maybe the noise is from the clutch/trans.

Unable to find any issue with the condenser/ cleaned the drain tube as well.

Did the recall for the gas pedal. Cut the pedal about half off from its pre recall size.

Said the recall for the seat belts will be coming soon.

So I have to make the trip again in 2 weeks and they said about 2 days for all the work.
