Depending on just how "cylindrical" you want it to really be, and I'm sure that this has likely already passed through your thought process, but strips of whatever material cut with slight angles then glued together... See attached.

Image attached would give you an 11" front, with 30 trapazoidal pieces, 5 degree cuts on the side with about a 2.1" short side, and 5,235 cu in per 12" in height, a nice even 3cu ft before woofer displacement... pretty huge IMO. Essentially a 36 sided polygon before you remove the area for the woofers, it's pretty close to cylindrical as you can get without killing yourself in constructing it.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Turbo!

I think I would be mildly skeptical about the structural integrity of the enclosure if held together only by glue, mainly because every enclosure I've built thus far has been screwed, glued, and nailed. Also, if I was going to go through the trouble of constructing these, I would want them to be as smooth on the outside as possible.

If you're skeptical of how strong glue is do this little exercise....

    1) Take a piece of scrap wood with roughly 3 square inches of surface area...
    2) and glue it to another larger piece of scrap wood.
    3) Let them dry for 24 hours with weight or pressure (like a clamp) holding them together.
    4) Try and pull them apart.

You will break the wood before you break the glue bond. The bond of wood glue is un-freaking-believable. Your mind will be blown.

Finished some new towers, surrounds, and a center channel yesterday. I regret not cleaning the center channel before taking this picture now lol!

Once you get it all glued together, you can, depending on what tools you have to your avail, hand sand it round, or attach a top and bottom, and throw it on a lathe and go about it that way. You'll only have to shave off 0.0485" to round it out... hardly anything at all.

And to second Italyn, the glue, assuming you use a decent and proper type, is a far stronger fastener than screws and nails. The downside is you have to wait for tit to set.

Yep....buy some clamps and get busy. I've done it before....actually quite often.

It's not as high as it looks. And it's tilted down enough that it's perpendicular to the viewer for where the couch is. Short of removing the mantel it was the best I could do in an apartment.

Guys, I need some help. Tonight I installed a pioneer 1200 watt amp and two ten inch thin mounts, I fire the truck up and no power to the amp. I checked the fuses and went over my wiring again. I am at a loss on what to check for.
    Thanks

Have a multimeter? Check voltages of your supply wire to the amp. If those are good then ur amp is toast. The amp should have a fuse too, check that or install it if it needs to be inserted still

Yea they're cheap and can quickly tell you what's going on... I know it's brand new and all(the amp) but it still could be a dud :( You can always pull the amp and bring it up to the engine bay and use a shorter chunk of wire to test your wiring job and see if the amp is working. Don't forget to ground if you bring it up near the battery to check it :D

i think you're referring to which dash kit matches the factory bump pattern?

that would be the dash kit from scosche.
