I've been search for a couple days now to see if there is anyway to do this but I have yet to find anything on it.

What I would like is for the cruise control to be on when I turn my truck on. I use my cruise control a lot, and while its not too big of a deal to push the button, it would be awesome if I didn't have to. Is there any sort of mod, maybe something like turning the seat belt ding off, that could be done to achieve this?

I read through the DIY OEM Cruise Control thread to see if that gave me any clues, but adding it doesn't require any programming. With my GTI I had a programmer that I could plug in and pretty much turn any system I wanted to on or off, anything similar for Toyotas?

    Thanks for the help!

Not that I know of. It could be a safety issue to why the cruise isn't always engaged.

I wish that Toyota had something similar to Vagcom like VW. There are times that I do miss it because of all the stuff that Vagcom opens up. I guess maybe one day it will happen for Toyota.

Ya it would be nice to work like my Acura, button is engaged as soon as I start the car.

Yes, this is what I was saying. The system is activated when the car turns on by default, not that the cruise control engages as soon as I turn the car on. In my GTI instead of being a push button, it is a switch, and I can leave it in the on position. I'll will search techstream and see what I can find.

    Thanks!

On and engaged are 2 different things. He wouldn't go flying.

OP, I've not searched for this but I also haven't seen it come up on this forum so I don't think there's a way to do it. If you figure it out though, let the rest of us know!
