Just a question for those with the manual trans. What happens if you are in cruise and you need to downshift. I was in such a situation recently and didn't know what would happen if I pushed in the clutch. Would the engine over rev? I just hit the brake for a second which unset the cruise and then did my downshift. I would think they engineered something in the computer to recognize this situation and not allow the engine to over rev but didn't want to find out I was wrong.

Cruise control disengages when you hit the clutch or brake
