I ordered a set of 5100's from DSM and I noticed they came with a stamped steel spring seat. It fits kinda sloppy. The pics Ive seen of 5100's have the machined aluminum seat. When I look up the part # on the seat they sent me it shows install kit for factory TRD bilsteins. Did they send the wrong ones??

    I have:

    B4-KT1-Z237A01 installation kit

    E4-FT1-Z011A03 spring seat

Ok thanks. I expected it to be a tighter fit being that all that pressure is pushing against it and it sits on a little snap ring. Plus the pics I've seen have aluminum seats.

It's correct. Also remember once you install the springs everything will tighten up solid. That little snap ring is very strong, there's no way it can come out because the spring seat covers it and prevents it from coming out of the groove.

When you got your shocks were the snap rings on the shocks or did you have to install them and how hard is it to have the snap ring to the next position?

No vibrations. It only raises the front end and its less than 2" so it's a very slight lift. My antenna hits the garage door now though. Lol.

I do have a bit of steering wheel shake between 50-60mph. That was there before the lift though. Did it with the stock wheels and tires too. I thought it would go away when I put on my new wheels and tires but no luck. It's weird that it doesn't always do it. Seems like when the tires warm up after a while it quits. I think the steering on these Tacoma's is just really sensitive.
