So I called the dealer to see about a trans flush on my 09. Service guy said that it had World Standard fluid, that is was lifetime and did not need to be flushed, but for $120 bucks they can replace 4 qts.
I called another dealer and they said it is recommended at 90k and they would do a complete flush for $195.00 They said to do it at 60k would be a bit pre-mature.
I thought I have read around here that if you are going to do the flush it was best to do around 60k..

I have a manual, but from what i've seen around here if the truck isn't really ran hard then 100k is fine. 60k seems too early to me, earliest i would do it would be 80k and that's if i did a lot of towing or offroading

I had it done not too long ago - my dealer did the entire flush. Drained the old, added cleaner, drained that and then all new WS. The mileage from Toyota has changed to 60k if you do any towing, drive in the dirt, etc. Don't know what is up with your dealer, but the mileage has been lowered...

There is an excellent write-up on here about doing a complete flush...if I would have had the time, I would have done it myself.

I have done some towing. I drove to and from Colorado with the truck loaded. I plan on driving back with a 14 trailer in a few months..

I was just reading through the tranny posts, but that is one area I think I will pay them to do..

    Thanks
