Threads look like they have alot of gunk on them, not consistent with just falling off your truck. Maybe an optical illusion but it also looks like the head is bent.

This ^^ would give me great peace of mind and I would sleep soundly, not worried about that bolt.

I understand, but most of the bolts on these trucks are those sizes, so if the bolt head is that size it is more likely to have come from his truck.

Only 17mm size head bolts that I know of bolt your hitch to the frame and your little round holed (what some call) front recovery hook, or your TRD recovery hook.

But that one in the pic is way to long for that. There could be others on the Taco I just haven't come across yet.

You probably just clipped it driving and it's off some other Japanese vehicle. :notsure:

I just removed some 17mm bolts around the wheel bearing and brakes, but they were only about 2 inches long.

From the looks of that photo, and from pulling so many of them, that bolt looks like it MIGHT be a transmission mounting bolt (From the transmission to the engine block) They are 12mm bolts (thread diameter, not drive size) and are 17mm drive size. The length is consistent as well.
