During our vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC my car was broken into and all of my camera gear was stolen, totaling about 7500$

Now I am lost, I searched all of the local pawnshops while I was there. have been watching craigslist and Ebay like a hawk. Even paid the stupid 10$ to CameraTrace.com and they dont even list the images I have on the web.

So im thinking of maybe setting up some kind of Donation thing, or something to try and recoup some money so I can get some new gear before Oct, as I have Weddings booked!

exif file. if you can somehow find photos uploaded with the exif file(your camera sn should be embedded in it), you will be able to sort of home in on it. otherwise, claim it. go to their local pd? might help in getting some monies for it, through your insurance company.

If the gear was in your car, your auto insurance should cover it. Call your agent and atleast see if they can help.

Ill call again, but when my wife called, they said it didn't.

just did some googling and found this.

If anything was stolen that's not attached to the car (like a book of CD's, some clothes, etc) none of that would be covered by your car insurance because you could have taken those things out of your car. Those types of items would usually be covered under your renter's insurance or homeowner's insurance if you have any, but you'd also be subject to a deductible on that policy.
