If you only want to plasti-dip your emblem, remove it and spray it. Just press the tab on either side of the back of the emblem and it comes off in about 2 sec.

If you wanna do your whole grill, remove the two screws and two plastic clips on top of the grill, push down on the tabs on the bottom outside edges, and pull the grill forward. This takes about 30 sec. Then plasti-dip the whole thing. No masking tape required.

I plasti-dip'd all my badges and that was easy too. Clean it up real good, tape it off about 1" from the badges, and put 4-5 coats on 15 minutes apart. Wait an hour, remove the tape and most of the plasti-dip on your paint will come off with the tape. Peel off the remaining plasit-dip (i.e inside the emblems) with a toothpick....very easy and costs less than $10!

You do for plastidip. They were referring to spray painting as being a pain in the ass.

Grille emblem is no biggie to spray paint. Just reach in and remove it.

If I was to ever blackout my emblems I'd probably plastidip since it takes some time to remove them even using fishing line. My rear tailgate took 30 minutes to do for all the badges, but of course I used some smaller line which kept breaking.
