Pegasus Tires- Good, Bad Or Indifferent?

Howdy folks. I'm brand new to the forum and can't even claim greenhorn status when it comes to the Tacoma. I've been shopping for one and found a 2011 2.7L/manual/access cab with 32K miles on it. It has brand new tires on it, Pegasus Advanta A/Ts, and in test driving it I noticed an inconsistent shimmy or oscillation coming through the steering wheel at interstate speeds.

I did a forum search here and came up with one result- it looks like Disco850 runs the Pegasus tires or was a little over a year ago. A web search of these tires came up with very little information, but what I did find was uncomplimentary, and found a suggestion that some tires from China were suffering from sidewall blowouts.

I know better than to trust just anything on the 'net, thus my query being poised here. What I noticed through the wheel made me think immediately of the tires, but maybe there's more to the picture than that. If the shimmy was consistent it would be fatiguing and probably cause numbness in the hands.

To get to where the rubber meets the road: are there any learned opinions on Pegasus tire available here or other thoughts on what's going on? The truck is at a dealership, and the CARFAX report shows "Four tires mounted and balanced" eight days ago.
