Figured I would wait until the '14s are out to finally pull the trigger on a new Taco. Going through a friend who is a sales manager for Autonation. Their inventory is very low on all '13s. My question would be has anyone heard of any new paint schemes...? Im partial to Silver but I have heard that they are going with Silver Sky metallic for 14...a bit darker which I really like on the Tundra's.??

I was in the same thinking as you but pulled the trigger 2 weeks ago and bought a 2013. I figure with no new design I'd rather just have a good deal. If they change the design in 2015. Ill wait a year to let them work out any issues. And in 2016 ill have a three year old truck and be in a good place to buy another one if I like the new model. A new paint color would be sweet though. Either way I think you'll be good. I think you'll get a better price on old 13's than new 14's though. That's all.

If you want a new colour, all I have to say is "derp".

I did the same as Richc2048. Decided to do my research beforehand and head into a dealer.. I actually lucked out, and had a really cool prior service veteran salesman. He shared a lot of knowledge with me, and I'm pretty sure we talked longer about army stuff than about cars and trucks. When we talked turkey he told me pretty much what Richc2048 said, not many 2013's around, but if I bought one from him he'd work a great deal out with me. All said and done, got about $3500 off MSRP and a 2% APR, not too shabby for getting exactly what I want.

I'd say if you do your homework you can probably work out a pretty good deal for picking up a '13 model. I haven't read anything about any major changes to the 2014 model.

Internet is full of helpful people. I could just imagine this guy. Reading threads drinking Mountain Dew just writing negative useless things all night. Good job buddy.

Yea. I agree. Difinitely good deals right now. I don't know how dealerships work but I'd imagine for every '13 they get off the lot, makes room for new 14's. more money for them.

Also, I used USAA to find a certified dealer. USAA uses TrueCar to find these dealers, they are a much higher caliber of people than Joe's crack shack down the street to get you a "great deal" on a car. They'll give you guaranteed savings that you can bring to a dealer from going through them. I'd suggest going through either of those car buying services, especially if you're going to buy something new.

Navy Federal Credit Union gave me 1.79%
It pays to serve sometimes. I think USAA was the same if not lower. 1.59% maybe?

Good luck to you. Try the auto trader app. That's how I found mine. The salesman didn't
even know they had one. I had to tell them the stock number from the auto trader site.
