turn off factory alarm?

i tried searching threads but couldnt find anything that matched my question.

i have a 01' xtra cab and i cant figure out why my alarm will arm itself?

its only happened a handfull of times but i keep my alarm fob inside my truck and not on my key ring because it keeps doing this.

but with my doors locked manually when i get out, i usually just use the key to unlock and get in but the alarm still goes off, even tho i dont use the fob to arm the system or unlock the doors? this is why i stopped using the keyless entry is cause it wouldnt disarm the alarm

is there a way to turn off the alarm? and if so is there a way to be able to use keyless entry still

 

nobody has any suggestions? did i do something wrong with asking or what?

 

I don't think you did anything wrong.. I know I have not a clue about your problem.. Is there anything in the manual about it?
