Hey guys so we ordered an Aisin Fan Clutch model number FCT-013 for my Tacoma as the original is bad. Looking around though, I found that Amazon lists the FCT-013 as the model for trucks without the tow package. That's the only place that mentions it though. My tacoma does have a tow package although I don't think its factory. Any input?

How did you determine it was bad?

A mechanic told me so and checking it out my self it appeared to be doing the opposite it should. It would be harder to turn when cold and easier when warm

Now how is a hood way to tell if its bad? My truck is thumping once it gets to operating temperature. Anyone have the same problem?

Is the thumping anytime you're moving? Because there is a prank people will do where they put a really big zip tie on your driveline and it thumps the body as it spins
