Ive got a 2012 Stock (non-entune) head unit and wanted to add a little bass without sacrificing any room in my access cab. I decided that either the Kicker hideaway, sound ordinace or the Focal Ibus would be a perfect match for my needs since i want to install it under the passenger seat. Ive done a lot of research on these forums for which of these is the best (reliable, ease of install) and have found a lot of each individual system but not comparing them. Also i havent been able to find anyone who has installed one of these systems on the stock head unit. I found the kicker at the local best buy for $300 and they also said they could install it but i wanna see if i could do it myself first. Any and all help is appreciated. PS would the alpine power pack improve any sound quality with stock HU and stock speakers? Thanks

Hey Daniel. ..you could add bass but it may drown out your stock speakers. I added bass and upgraded my speakers to keep up. I used a single amp for all the speakers. And I also added an audio control unit(lc6i)...which is for sale. This unit allows you to keep stock hu but be fully tunable.

How much are you selling your LC6I for? also which compact sub/amp would you suggest that would allow me to use the stock speakers until i feel like upgrading them?

Im asking $90 obo. I used it for 4-6 months, then upgraded my hu for better hands free calling.
As far as an amp, I'd recommend a multi-channel amp. You can run your subs and still have the option to add speakers down the line. Im running a 5 channel arc audio amp. It's powering a jl stealthbox with 2- 10" subs. It's also powering focal component speakers up front and focal coaxial speakers in the rear. I was using the lc6i to control the sound when using my stock hu.
I am also including rcas to use from lc6i unit to the amp. I also have a bass adjust knob which will allow you to control your bass output from a dash mounted location (or anywhere else you want to mount it.)
If you're interested in the unit send me your zip code and I can see what it'd cost for shipping.
    Hope that helped.

Rockford fogs ate have some mini amplifiers that work great. And won't take up no space at all.
