Long story short I moved from Chicago to Las Vegas and accidentally left my new FJ Anthracite Rims in my in-laws basement. I'm looking for an inexpensive way to ship them to Las Vegas.

I've heard a cheap way to ship wheels/rims is to box them up separately, print out your own UPS labels online, and then drop them at the UPS shipper store. Supposedly this costs less than $75 for a set of rims.

Has anyone had luck with using this method?

Any other methods that are as cheap or cheaper?

    Thanks for any help,
    Steve

*Maybe a sticky once a reliable inexpensive way is determined?

I've shipped numerous sets of wheels and USPS has been the cheapest for me. Wrap two of the boxes together and ship the two packages through parcel post. It should be about $100 total. Most of the time when I check UPS it's really expensive, but others might have different experiences.

USPS isn't the cheapest method for large items. I use USPS for smaller items which is 85% if my shipping needs. The other 15% is larger/heavier items and I've found that FedEx Ground is the least expensive. Make sure it's FedEx Ground and not FedEx as they are different and the latter will cost you a lot more. Check into Distribution to Distribution to save a little money if you want to pick them up. If both places have a Greyhound Depot nearby you can look into shipping them on Greyhound too as it can be less expensive at times. Last option would be Craigslist but that's a total crap shoot. For my money and my time I generally just go FedEx Ground.

I'll try fedex ground and shipnex.

I've heard of using greyhound and fastenal too.
