I need to get new tires soon and I'd like to get some new (or used) rims, as I'm not a fan of the ones on my taco (see pic). I'd probably end up getting the same size tires that are on there now - whatever the biggest size you can run stock, that is what is on there currently.

My question is: what are some brands/models to look for? I don't need nor want super expensive rims, just something that looks nice. Fairly common/shows up used would be cool too.

My truck is pretty stock so they wouldn't be going on a lifted truck...

I believe the stock rims are 16x7, right? Would 8 be too wide? And 15 look funny/too small?

Just received an email from Discount Tires Direct. They're offering Visa card rebates on wheels and tires. You should be able to find something from them. That's where I bought mine. Good luck.

Cheapest will always be steel wheels, but some prefer to avoid those due to added weight. You may want to check out pro comp 7069s. You see them on tacomas a fair amount, I think they look great and they can be found fairly cheap. I got mine for less than $100 per wheel.

We have Black Steel wheels available at a good price, that we know clear the calipers on Tacoma's. Which can be a problematic issue.
