I'd try again in a month if it's still around. $15k is tops for that truck

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.

Agreed. 15k is ok, less than that is a deal. Seller just doesn't want to face reality yet. He may find someone with money to burn, but I'd wager the price comes down or he decides to keep it.

Appears that seller either changed his mind and pulled the ad or he sold the truck because, "... this posting has been deleted by its author."

There are plenty of people with money to burn but I'd never pay over book no matter what I liked. Just don't have an emotional attachment to vehicles.

Look at it this way, say truck is worth 13,000. It has low milage and is very clean and taken care of. Now add up all the extras that are on the truck and see if you can mod one out for 4000.00 more and how long it would take you to do it. Not saying its an awsome deal but you cant do all thats been done for the asking price. Be nice to get it for around 15 though.

Since it was worth 11 private party (and that was only because of low mileage and good condition) that puts it @ 15 with goodies. EMU susp. and ARB bumpers if I recall....which I'd never pay full price for 2nd hand.

Hell, I know everyone's paying more for these things. My opinions that particular truck was worth 13K. Maybe if these things become collector items I'll have to eat my hat but to me it would just be another work truck. YMMV.:)

http://autos.aol.com/article/cheapest-places-to-buy-car/ note to self next time i need a car get it in florida, although dallas does have some good deals. i live in arlington but we get almost all our cars from dallas (mainly toyota of dallas) simply because arlington dealers wont haggle for shit and well fort worth is un chartered territory... for my parents lol

One reason why i'd prefer to buy a truck stock is it usually means it's not too beat up or the owner never really did any serious off roading, my truck was basically a pavement queen before i got it. However some people do install off road lift/tires/bumpers etc. and never take it off road. You'd just have to take a good long look at it.

When you mod out a truck and then try to sell it, the seller has to realize he's going to take a significant hit.

Good luck finding a truck man, just don't give in and buy a ranger or something.
