Hey I am new to TW and I was hoping I could get some advice. I have a 2008 double cab short bed 4.0 with trd sport and sr5. I am wanting to install the AT 2525xl but have been getting mixed ideas about the piping. Can anyone shed some light on whether the exhaust sounds better when ran out one side behind the mud flaps or when turned down after the axle? This would be with out headers or anything else except a CAI. Any one have this exhaust ran out to duals out both or sides or straight out the back? I am concerned about the drone issue and am having trouble getting a clear answer after reading several pages about the issue.

    Thanks for the help, poe.

Alright well Im ur guy then cuz I have this muffler and I ran it with headers, without headers, out the back, and turn down after axle. Question is what CAI are you running? And best method to decrease drone is run it out the back. I have mine dumped behind axle now and it has a little drone not bad but im also running volant CAI which is loud at WOT.

Well I was considering the AFE since I have read a lot of good remarks about them on here. Is it a difficult task to run duals after the AT? Also, when you had the exhaust ran out the side of the truck you say it droned less, did you notice a sound difference outside the vehicle at all?

    thanks for the reply.
