Hey everybody, first post here. I just bought a 2011 Double Cab Short Bed TRD Sport magnetic grey and pick it in about a week. I used to own a 1999 white reg cab but had to sell it when we started having kids. I'm so glad to be getting back into a truck and especially a Taco at my wife's insistence :)

    Anyway onto my question -

It has a factory roof rack and I plan on running a Yakima Rocket Box as needed. I was also looking to get a Softopper for it and want to run the two together but I don't know if the box will clear the Softopper. Has anybody here had both on at one time and did it work?

    Thanks!

The Softopper does not sit higher than the roof line. THe roof box sits a few inches off the roof...right? BTW, Welcome to TW, from the Hamburg/Cabelas area.

    Thanks.

From some pics it looks like the Softopper sits a little above roof line on some trucks. I haven't seen one in person on a Taco though.

A little above, but not above where the roof rack would sit.
