Hey guys I'm just about ready to get my wheels and tires. 16x8 Method Doube Standards w/ Cooper Discoverer AT/3 in 285/75/16. I'm lifted 2 inches I the front. Waiting on AAL in mail. I know I need to take off mud flaps but has anyone use any aftermarket ones with a big tire and not have rubbing or rearing off? Huskeys and Wearhertech flaps look pretty good

I have the husky and love them. the front are roughly 4-5 inches shorter and the rear are roughly 2-3 inches shorter.

I can't speak from experience, but I'd be willing to bet those aftermarket flaps are going to have the same issues with larger than stock tires rubbing as the OEM ones have. The issue is more the design of the fender, fender liner, etc. and how close your tires are (especially when turning) then the mud flaps themselves.

I'm working on a combination of fender trimming, cab mount chop, and pinch weld flattening all so I can run basic flat rubber flaps, which are much lower profile than the OEM flares, and not rub.

Any tires more than 32" you're gonna have problems rubbing somewhere or sometime. I'm OK with 32", but you have to decide how much $$$ you want to put into getting another 1" more ground clearance, or 2" more ground clearance. Getting another inch or two of ground clearance can get exponentially more $$$$$.

And you'll notice folks that run 33" plus tires don't have mudflaps, either they can't be bothered with them, or can't seem to find a way to rivet some on with the modded flares.

If you want your flaps just to protect you underside of your panels just buy 1 gen flaps and trim to fit.
