I have a 2010 DCSB 2wd TRD and I just replaced the rear shocks with 5100s. I have the 5100s for the front but have nut installed them. I should be ready for new tires in about 5000 miles. So here are my questions:

If I AAL because my rear leaf packs (non TSB) are almost flat, what setting would I use to level the front end using the new 5100s on the front.

Any recommendations on long life tires? I build houses, do most of my driving is stop and go on pavement and a little off road. I only got 30k out of original tires and will only get 45k out on Michelin LTX M/S2.

Can I fit a tire that is larger than stock without adding blocks in the rear or different springs in the front?

    Thanks.

I can't answer the leveling question but as for tires, how the hell did you only get 45k out of the ms2's? The warranty for them is 70,000, I've had mine for about 4 years and close to 40,000 miles and they are maybe about 1/2 worn.

5100's at 1.75, Rear leaf TSB, Moto Metal 951 16x8, BFG TKO2 265/75/16, AFe Stage 2 CAI w/pro dry filter, Kenwood DDX374BT installed with Idatalink Maestro kit, Access Loredo tonneau cover, N-Fab steps, Tinted windows, EGR in channel vent visors, UGA drink coasters in the front cup holders, and a Graco car seat in the back seat
You need to spend some time searching and reading on here, there is a lot of info out there.

I'm running 5100's set at 1.75 and have the rear leaf tsb which gave about .5 lift in the rear and I am almost level, just a touch nose high so I'm looking to do something else with the rear to bring it up a touch more.

Tire sizes can be a bit confusing with lifting because you can run into rubbing issues with the uca, but mostly if you go to the top setting from my understanding.

I recommend sitting back and reading up on this forum to decide for yourself.

But generally you can go .85 with the stock rear or 1.75 with a 1" or 1.5" aal with no issues and go up a tire size.

If your rear leaves are almost flat a aal is only a bandaid for the problem. You probably need a new leaf pack. A new front setup with a worn out rear setup probably won't work out well to try to get leveled. Probably be trial and error. If you're wearing tires out that quick it might be time to go up to a D or E load rating.

I don't know how I am getting such low mileage on the Michelin tires except that I do a lot of starting/stopping and u turns since I am building houses that are on several streets in the same neighborhood. My brother got 95k out of his LTX tires.

I usually do not haul anything. I think that I will go with a LT tire next.

Also, where is the best place to purchase the Dakar springs and OEM parts online?

Hell my springs looked flat from brand new. They've never had any arch to them. I just thought that was the way the Tacoma's were set up?

    Thanks!
