Greetings. My 06 has far more rust issues than I previously thought, so my fall project is to wire wheel and paint the frame with the Rustoleum Rust Reformer. I have collected the implements of destruction and I am now nervously waiting for the right time to do it.

I was basically going to follow this procedure:
    http://www.dieselpowermag.com/tech/1008dp_truck_frame_rust_removal_and_prevention/

Are there any suggestions on how much of the Tac should be disassembled or taped?

How bad would it be if everything gets painted black?:)

Alternatively, does anyone have experience using Loctite Extend Rust Treatment? A coworker in TN used it on his bushhog and it has long stopped the rust (though salt is not an issue for him).

    Thanks
    ta
