BFG AT mileage costs

2019 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 Dbcb , 2004 Tacoma S-Runner

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.

Alot of questions on here about gas mileage. I just got back from my twice a year trip from Florida to OKC and back with a couple detours, 2484 miles. In my 2009 2wd, double cab, TRD Sport. Mileage numbers were lowest at 18.09 and highest at 20.19. One tankful I ran with tailgate down, with no difference in mileage. I've been making this trip for three years. All years mileage average is 22.5. I recently changed to BFG AT's, in stock size. Just the aggressive pattern cost me 2-3 mpgs.
