Near death experience, truck totaled :(

    Went to check it out - the '83 Hilux is, indeed, Japanese. It is not the 4dr and had some rust issues, and the VA neglected to pay me like they were supposed to today, so yeah. It's at Durant Toyota in Weatherford, TX for $4900. Looked decent, bit of rust on the bed, and that 22R sounded heavenly.

    Hey SPCL, glad to hear you are alright. I had a similar incident in a Grand Caravan where a guy drove me off the road. I hit a curb at 60ish and did a barrel roll. No injuries to me or my passenger, thank God. Still, I can sympathize with the gamut of emotion. Hope you get back on the road with another great vehicle

    No air bag deploy on my crash either - my point of impact was the passenger tire on the curb, then the top of the driver A pillar. You really need to hit the front bumper to deploy the bag.

    side air bags are '09+ I believe? Sorry, getting nerdy! :p
