The bottling codes would probably be your best bet. Or maybe the labels if you can find someone familiar with the era.

The state tax stamp doesn't seem to be much of a help because from 12/1933 - 10/1961 the tax was $0.80 per gallon on liquor for the state of Missouri. If my math serves me right, at 4/5 of a quart your tax would be right at $0.16 which matches your 16 cent tax stamp on the bottle. That leaves a window larger then what we've already determined though.

3" Toytec, 285/70/16. Installing, sliders, cb, firestik antenna, Workin for 285's, BedBox, and undercover winch when weather gets warm.

So according to that PDF and your number crunching (Thanks by the way) the bottle is roughly between 48 years and 76 years.. So that would put it into a 28 year window... Hmm...

    Yes sir.

Check the bottom of the bottle for any codes. You might be able to fire off an email to Southern Comfort and have then give you an estimated production date. Other than what we've already found, thats about all the help I am.

BTW that bottle is in suprisingly good condition for its age. Someone has taken pretty good care of it over the years.

Well the digits on the bottom are 72 R-424 'N' ( the N is in a square) and then the # 50 underneath.. I will try to email someone at SoCo and see what I can fish from them.
Well Thanks for the help I do appreciate it.
