I am taking most of my emblems off and the one's I'm putting back on are getting a flat black paint. I'm thinking of taking off the TRD decals on the side of the bed, but want to get a TRD emblem to replace the V6 emblem on the tailgate.

My question is. . . is the black TRD emblem glossy? I can't find any pictures of them. If it is, I'm thinking of going the red route.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

If you're talking about the OEM TRD emblems...

    PT413-35120-02 is the red
    PT413-35120-03 is the black

You can use the part #'s to google up some images. I'm personally not a fan of black on black, but it's your truck so do what makes you happy. Welcome to TW

You must not have read the thread title. I'm looking for an OEM one as I've heard some horror stories about the cheap ones you can buy on eBay. The OEM one only comes on the Baja but you can buy them online for around $50, and they are not easy to find pictures of. I've seen the red but never the black and I have searched quite a bit.

Also, does anyone have a link for a TRD emblem like this that is actually decent quality and the white and red won't start to bubble or flake off?free-shipping-30pcs-12-2-5-cm-car-badge-_6a791b5a5dffe0ec27b8f74de5245eadb57c5a29.jpg

Does the plasti-dip last for a long time or will it start to peel/bubble/crack etc. It seems SO much easier than painting as I'm thinking of matte black-ing all of my chrome emblems (or just leaving them off all together if I get lazy or like the look).
