    Hey all,
I'm in the market to get new leaf springs for my Tacoma and I'm stuck between the all pro standard leaf pack vs the expedition leaf pack.
I don't regularly off road, sad I know, but it's not a mall crawler, and it is my daily driver.

So I'm trying to decide which leafs to get. I don't know how soft and flexible the standard leafs are vs how stiff the expedition pack is.

Every weekend I haul 1-2 dirt bikes. Occasionally a small trailer with 4-5 dirt bikes and on occasion a small boat 1500~2000 lbs.

As I sit now I'm running 4" spindles with billy 5100s and a stock rear end on 33"s
I'm planning on turning up the blisteins to 1.85" and putting on 35"s hence the need for a lifted rear end.

So for my situation does anyone have some advice as to which leaf springs would be better for a daily driver with occasional towing.
All pro standard leaf springs vs all pro expedition leaf springs.

    Thanks!

if you're going to carry a lot of weight, often, get the expos. the unloaded ride is a tad rough, but they handle weight like nobody's business

500lb load in the bed, about 1" of sag in the leafs

Go with the expos. I have them and unloaded they are firm, but not harsh. Plus they will balance out your front end with the lift spindles.

That's what I'm leaning towards. Just was worried about the unloaded ride.

I won't have weight in the bed a majority of the time.

if it rides a little rough just put a tupperware of dirt/rocks in the bed, doesn't take much room and should make it ride good.

The unloaded ride isnt that bad, I carry loads every so often as well. I was worried about the weight capacity of the standards so I got the expos and havent had any regrets

you can throw a sandbag in the back and have it ride fine when not hauling a load too

I've been having the same dilemma but I figured you might as well get the pack that could handle the load when you have it, and just deal with it / put other random loads in the rear. I would much rather have a little rougher ride (it's a truck) than be sagging ass when I do haul.

I see you're somewhat local. If you want, you can ride in my truck to see what it's like. I have the expos and have it pretty much unloaded most of the time. The ride is a little harsh, but not bad at all. It works wonders when there's a load back there though.

Not super harsh with the Expos. Only thing I'm having issues with (And I'm pretty sure it's the expos.) Is because I the unloaded height is +4" there's a vib in the drive train at 60-70mph under load.

    Hey MJ,
I've met you at a hollister meet years ago.
Thanks for the offer. I'm pretty set on the expos because I'd rather run smooth while towing or hauling a load, but if the opportunity arises I'd definitely take you up on that.

Never. Never had this issue till I threw the Expos in.
But Bed Rack and RTT are going in soon, so that should put the back down a lil.

I have had the expos on my 07 access cab for 4 months now and I think they ride better unloaded than the stock with an ad a leaf. Weight in the back it's a dream! Expos all the way!!!

Had a full cubic yard of damp clay and rock in the back of my truck. Brought the right height down to stock.

Fucking love these Expos! And it rode like Butter too. Pics to come.

Does anyone know what the load rating is for the standard all pro leafs? If its comparable with the stock TSB springs I might go that route over the expos.

Do you think a leer cap and some camping gear would be enough to make this pack ride wel?l I'm usually driving fast in the desert. would the regular ap springs ride smoother I wonder?
