theres been an increase of tail gate/tail light & catalytic converter theft in so cal in the last year...

Sorry to hear op. Tail gates and lights have been being stolen for years. About 6 years ago I came out to my z71 and tail gate and both rear lights were gone.

 

Hmmmm... Tail lights too? Never thought about those, but I guess they are easy to get off. How would one prevent tail light theft? Besides a car alarm.

 

By keeping your tailgate secure.

 

You mean with a pop and lock?

 

That or the hose clamp mod.

Can't you remove the tail lights with the tailgate down? I have the hose clamp mod on.

Yeah, it's not hard to do. Try it on your Tacoma. How do you think that people change light bulbs.
